DFW Conquest kicked off the year with a Father Son Soccer Tournament. It was held at the Highlands School in Irving, TX. There were about 50 participants forming 6 teams. All the families gathered for Mass in the morning and at 10am the tournament began. Three 20min round robin games and the top four teams went on to the finals for placement. Gold, silver, and bronze Soccer medals were awarded. Following the tournament was a cookout to celebrate the beginning of a new year for conquest. Weekly Conquest group activities will start after labor day. This event looks to be a great annual event. Last year we just had a simple soccer game with a good number of boys and dads. This year we opened it up more and organized a full tournament for the whole DFW area. We expect it to continue to grow, as long as we can beat the Texas heat!
